Brief Synopsis: Aryabhatta is the story of the visionary Indian mathematician who invented the concept of zero. Adopted by the Raja of Pataliputra, his life becomes surrounded by the drama of court intrigue, marrying a dancing girl and using his skills to save the people from famine. At the core of the story is a rivalry reminiscent of Salieri and Mozart in AMADEUS that allows petty egos to get in the way of a naturally gifted genius, even when the country’s fate is at stake.
